- Colloidal oatmeal. Finely ground oats that are such a reliable skin-soother that the FDA recognizes colloidal oatmeal as a skin protectant, the kind of thing people reach for to calm redness and quiet an itch.
- Plant oils and butters. Coconut, olive, shea, aloe. The nourishing, moisturizing crew that keeps skin feeling soft instead of stripped.
